IELTS Writing: Arguement for banning extreme sports

Some people think that government should ban dangerous sports, while other think people should have freedom to do any sports or activities. Discuss both views and give your opinion.

Nowadays, the ban of dangerous sports has been receiving a great deal of public attention. Some people advocate the idea of extreme sports, but others believe that citizens are allowed to play any sports. In my opinion, Although extreme sports are very risky, they should be encouraged.

There are a number of reasons why people think that banning dangerous sport is necessary. First, the enherently dangerous nature threatens lives. In fact, serious injuries such as bone fracture, head trauma and even fatal accidents are not uncommon in these activities. Therefore, banning dangerous sports to avoid unnecessary accidents. Second, It costs player a exorbitant price to find a sense of excitement. For example, players are forced to pay ensurance to ensure little risks. It is understandable that extreme sports carry both dangers and a significant amount of money.

However, banning extreme sports does not make sense with some reasons. First, These sports are created as survival skills at the begining. For example, Pilots must learn parachuting when accidents occur on the ground or skiing is a technique to move in heavy snow countries. Therefore, such skills are considered as necessary to save human lives. Second, with the proliferation of protective equipments such as melmets and brakes. Those risks have been falling lower and lower.

In conclusin, although dangerous sports may be potentially harmful, I believe that there are ways to intigate risks attatched with them. More importantly, People are entitiled play any sports and activites in their freedom and choice. Banning extreme sports is implausible in broader perspective.
