Some people believe that the salaries paid to professional sportspeople are too high, while others argue that sports salaries are fair.
Discuss both views and give your opinion.
Many people embrace the idea that it is unnecessary to pay an enomous amount of money for sports starts, while others argue that they are worthy of being paid this salary. Personally, I believe that both views have their own merits for some good reasons mentioned below.
Many people argued that professional sportspeople such as football players do not provide vital sevices. For example, with a goal in the football match, Ronaldo has earned billions of dollars from the audiences. Meanwhile, these easy jobs are not commensureate with people who offer health and education services. In fact, a high – class nurse only earns less than $100,000 a year, which can easily be achieved by a football match. Instead of paying high salaries for sports players, it is fairer to pay high salaries for people who do available jobs for society such as doctors, engineers and teachers because it will bring great values for nurturing people and building the country.
However, It is undeniable that professional sportspeople must barter with a great deal of priorities their lives to be paid a high salary. In fact, athletes must undergo a rigorous training process as well as a strict diet to perform well in the match and bring entertainment value as well as mental rewards to viewers. In addition, atheletes also pay a heavy price for health if the injuries occurs such as bone fracture and disability. It may destroy their life-long career. Not to mention, their seniority is not high sinece they only play until less than 40 years old.
In conclusion, I believe that both views about paying to sports players are equally resionable. While athletes are paid high salaries, they must cope with the presure of training process and injuries at the same time.
