The use of mobile phones in public places is as antisocial as smoking

The use of mobile phone is as antisocial as smoking. Smoking is banned in certain places so mobile phone should be banned like smoking.

To what extend do you agree or disagree?

Over the past few decades, it is undoubted that the use of mobile phones has gained in popularity, making significent changes in the lifestyle of humans. Some argue that just like smoking, mobile phones bring many antisocial effects and therefore it should be banned. Although the use of mobile phones is not without its merits. Personally, I believe that it is indispensable part of the modern age.

I believe that smoking and mobile phones are two distinct products, every comparison is inappropriate. While cigarettes contain chemical compounds that directly influence people’s health, mobile phones have nothing to do with these chemicals.

Another compelling reason to not ban mobile phone is that they are necessary to daily life. First, Using mobile phone is the most efficient and inexpensive ways to communicate with others. Before the appearance of mobile phone, delivery a message from a location to another would require physical travels, costing unnecessary time, effort and money. In addition, mobile phones have a function that enable users keep contacts, thereby promoting strengthening social connections. For example, people are likely to lose important contacts or might even forget one another if they do not use mobile phones.

In conclusion, the use of mobile phones may bring some health problems, I believe that cell phones are likely to be of great benefits to humans and should not be banned.
